10 Tips to Build your Brand Fast

The personal brand defines who you are, what you are capable of, how you add value to a company. If someone offers you regular fries and those cooked in McDonald’s, your preference will always be McDonald’s. Do you know why? Well, that brand has set its quality image in your mind.

In the same manner, when you Build your Brand and tell your story better than others. You get preference over your clients and recruiters. I think that's where you understand what personal branding is. Now the next step is how to build it.

1.  Learn from the Leaders

Every industry has specific leaders. You can find them by searching about them online. It won't take much time, but you spot them quickly. Find them and then follow them. They have reached a place where you want to be. So, following their footprints helps you land there quickly.

2. Know Your Expertise

Sit back and try analyzing your skills. Know what you are good at and what things you hate on the job. This analysis helps you know about your expertise and strength. If you are good at something, you need to pick a career around that skill.

Are you good at ad copies? It's time to become a copywriter.

Are you good at Creative Designing?

You are good at certain things because you are more interested in them and feel accomplished by doing them. So, please know your strengths.

5. Refine your Skills and Talent

There are tons of courses, degrees, and certifications. Go and get them. A certified employee will always get preference from a non-certified one. The more competency you have around a particular subject in your Career Branding, the better your chances of landing on a top position. Don't you want to reach the top? Indeed, we all want that.

It is pretty important to tell your professional story to your clients and recruiters so they know your value and get interested in you. Dunkin Donuts tells the story that Americans can't live without donuts. KFC tells the story that you get finger-licking food. These are stories people like to invest in. Therefore, you need to share your story. It must define who you are and what makes you more valuable than others.

7. Update Your Resume

It would be best if you were very careful in picking the skills and experience in your resume. You know what your Personal Brand is and what your career direction is. Select only those skills that are meaningful in the industry. When you need to select the experience for a particular job, you better focus only on a few but most valuable experiences. You will write a summary of your achievement. Use a few words and try to make an impactful statement.

8. Choose Color for Your Brand

That might seem odd at first, but you should try it. Facebook uses Dark blue, and this color is consistent on every page you check on FB. 10. Market your Brand

When it comes to marketing your brand, you can try many different ways. The easy one is to use YouTube and social media like Twitter, Linked In, and Facebook. You can join some social and industry groups and stay active in the conversation. You must be easy to find both online and offline. Some people only focus on online preference and forget all about local career branding. You don’t have to do that. Attend seminars and be a part of industry associations and trade unions to grow and Build Your Network. This local network works faster in getting a job than an online one.
